Details for the NIWA Canterbury-Westland Schools’ Science and Technology Fair 2025

Information for primary, intermediate and secondary schools/Year 7-13 students:

  • Entries are now OPEN for 2025 fair, and close on the 22nd August at 5 pm.

There will be no entry fee again in 2025.

  1. School form– 1 completed per school with teacher contacts and entry conditions

  2. Exhibit form– 1 form for each exhibit entered

Please fill in one School Entry Form per school, and a Exhibit Form for each project being submitted. Further details can be found on the Entries Page

  • Fair: Saturday 13th September, Ernest Rutherford Building at the University of Canterbury
  • Prizegiving: Sunday 14th September, 11am, Central Lecture Theatre at University of Canterbury
  • Public Viewing: Saturday 13th September, PM, and Sunday 14th September, AM. 

Judging will take place on Saturday 13th September. School coordinators will be advised by email in the evening of, to inform of students who have won prizes and who need to attend the prize-giving ceremony on the Sunday.
